SHAREFEST is an event that was created with the belief that churches and organizations can do more together than any one group could do separately to reach out to its community. We serve in school districts, community organizations all over the city by landscaping, painting, constructing, and cleaning up the grounds of area schools and buildings.

Volunteer Opportunities

Painting

This team will include interior painting. Interior painting will be select sites and will be indicated on the registration form under the sites and will have painting next to the school name.

Landscaping

This team will rake, mulch, sweep, plant, trim, window washing and shovel at all our sites. They will paint parking lot lines and curbs or select outside painting. All things to help beautify the campuses of the various organizations we will be serving.

Runners

This team will help pickup of supplies and delivery of the supplies on Sharefest day to the various sites.

Construction

This team would be working with more specialized small construction projects, painting, and building. Construction work experience would be helpful.

Prayer Team

This team will gather at a designated site and time, to pray on Sharefest morning. The team will pray for all the sites where volunteers will be serving, and for a long term impact and transformation within those environments as a result of the morning’s work and the ongoing relationship.

Celebration

This team will help with the set-up and tear down of the Celebration following Sharefest at Hummer Park. This is a lunch and celebration following Sharefest for all participants to attend.

Supply Team 1

This team would meet 4-6 weeks before Sharefest at times determined by the Supply Chairman. They would help with collection/organization/distribution of supplies for Sharefest day. Need to be able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Supply Team 2

This team would meet on the afternoon after Sharefest is completed, and for 1-2 weeks afterward to help with storing and organizing supplies for the next year. Times will be determined by Supply Chairman. Need to be able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Foreman

This person oversees and directs volunteers at a specific site in a specific area to ensure the tasks are done for that area at that site on Sharefest Day.
